 All the Instructors at The Jason Baird's Black Belt Academy of Martial arts are fully quilified to teach you or your child to the highest standard. All our Instructors are CRB checked and all hold up to date First Aid certificates

Master Jason Baird 5th Dan
Jason Baird could be the most successful martial artist to have come from this area. He has won almost every major competition in the World and is still competing today. Jason is currently 9 x World Champion plus has won many other major titles, Jason has been there done it and won the medal, there simply is not enough space on this website to list every trophy that Jason has won. In 2008 Jason was given the position of World Karate Association kata coach for Great Britain. Jason Baird is present in all the classes at the Academy and is always on hand to give any advise. Sensei Dale Cooper 3rd Dan
 Kirsty Cooper has trained in karate for 11 years, 6 years under the watchful eye of her coach Jason Baird. Kirsty seems to be proving the point that hard work,dedication and perserverance is the key to success as Kirsty is currently 5 x British Champion and awaiting to Travel to the World Championships in 2008. Kirsty is our 'Lil Dragons' Instructor and also a helping hand in the other classes. In the short time that Kirsty has been teaching she has shown great potential to be a world class instructor. All the kiddies respond really well to Kirsty as her teaching technique is effective yet fun. Kirsty also trains in Jasons classes up to 6 hours a week. Kirsty Cooper is available for private lessons in kata & sparring.

Sensei Kirsty McLean 1st Dan
Kirsty McLean initially started out training just to keep fit in the Academy's ladies kickboxing class. After some persuation from a number of students and parents she decided to take up the karate classes and start grading towards her blak belt. 4 years on she is about to take her 1st Dan grading. Kirsty now helps out in all the classes and trains as much as she can. In 2006 Kirsty represented Great Britain at the WKA World Champions as a brown belt and came a respectful 5th place out of a section of 25 world class black belts from all over the world. Kirsty McLean along with Kirsty Cooper teach the Ladies Kickboxing class on a Monday evening. Kirsty McLean is available for private lessons in basics & kata.
